Hook-and-loop rollers

Self-gripping rollers go into dry or nearly dry hair. Leave them in while hair cools or finishes drying, then take them out gently.

Hot rollers

Heated rollers are a heat tool, so the AAD's heat advice applies: lowest setting that works, a heat protectant, and less often.

How to set for volume

  1. Start with clean, dry, or nearly dry hair.
  2. Take sections no wider than the roller.
  3. Roll away from the face, up at the crown.
  4. Let hair cool fully before you take them out.

Take them out gently

Unroll, do not pull.

Rollers for lift. Cool before you unroll.

Volume starts with how you wash.
