Check recall notices

In 2021 and 2022, two makers recalled some aerosol dry shampoos in the U.S. because of benzene. Both said the benzene came from the propellant. A recall covers specific products and lot codes. If you use an aerosol dry shampoo, check the FDA's recalls page, and stop using any recalled product.
